Look out Paul Revere, the British are here with George Corrigan in the vanguard! George uses his sharp wit, outsider's eye and eight years of experience in this strange and wonderful land we call America to highlight the absurd and hilarious aspects of life in the U.S. and the overall human condition.
Now based in San Francisco, George works clubs, pubs and corporate events up and down the West Coast. He has worked with some of the biggest names in stand-up including Brett Butler, Bobby Slayton and David Alan Grier at the San Jose Improv, Rocky LaPorte at Pepper Belly's, Johnny Steele at the Sacramento Punchline, Daniel Tosh at the San Francisco Punchline. He is a favorite with bookers looking for a smart, warm, engaging and fiercely funny comic and has worked rooms from Ukiah, California to Sun Valley, Idaho. During an appearance at the LA Improv he was selected by renown comedienne Judy Carter as one of the four "New Faces of Comedy". In addition to his stand-up George has also written and delivered custom material for corporate events from superior court judges to the Santa Clara women's soccer team. His comedy has been auctioned off for charity and has been one of the most popular items for Villa Montalvo (twice). He claimed first place in the 2003 Battle of the Bay comedy competition at the San Jose Improv beating out over 150 comics.
George's writing, acting, and film skills are also showcased in the comedic movie short Icevan.com - a Sundance 2002 finalist and first runner up in the Adobe Film Festival. George can currently be seen being a smart ass on the American Movie Classics promo spots.
